The brand new Major Craft SeaBass Custom Limited Edition 9’6’’ 7-35g lure rod (video) review - £359.99 UK price
It hasn’t been easy saying nothing about this brand new Major Craft SeaBass Custom Limited Edition 9’6’’ 7-35g lure rod when I have had the blank and then the finished rod here for about eighteen months, but now it’s officially in the UK and on sale I can finally tell you all about it - which I am doing via a video review below. I am sure this is the first time I have tried to do a lure rod review via the medium of video rather than my more usual written reviews on here, but this new rod floats my boat that much I wanted to do something a bit more visual.
I have become increasingly aware that there are a number of UK lure anglers who have been waiting to see these new rods as word started getting out a while back - there is also an 8’8’’ 7-35g version here and here if that helps (read Marc Cowling’s excellent review of this 8’8’’ here). Please watch my video below to get a good look at the 9’6’’ rod in action and all my thoughts on it, but to sum up this new Major Craft SeaBass Custom Limited Edition 9’6’’ 7-35g lure rod on here? It’s easily THE best 9’6’’ Major Craft lure rod I have fished with. As ever you need to bear in mind that fishing rods are always very personal things, but from my point of view of having spent a lot of actual bass fishing time fishing with a number of different Major Craft 9’6’’ rods, this new one is a cut above all of them for me.
If you read my rod reviews on here then you will have a pretty good idea of the type of fishing rods that do it for me, and this new Major Craft SeaBass Custom is so that sort of lure rod. A huge well done to the very nice people who do Major Craft in the UK, thank you for getting me access to this rod, and if the idea of owning one appeals to you then you need to bear the Limited Edition thing in mind. There are a limited number of them for sale and then that’s it for this rod in this configuration. You all have a good weekend, stay safe wherever you are…………
