Off to Copenhagen for a lure fishing related meeting, catch you at the end of the week

Does it ever get any easier? I woke up this morning at 4am because I was shown some Savage Gear related samples we have been working on via video the other day, and tomorrow I am going to get the chance to see them in the flesh. Excited? It can’t be right. I wish the grownups would allow me to tell you exactly what we are working on at the moment, but for multiple reasons I obviously can’t - damn though this sampling process and work I am increasingly doing with Savage Gear is a buzz………….

I love the work that this guy Tommy Kinnerup does for Savage Gear, I need to ask if some bass and wrasse related stuff might be possible http://www.tommykinnerup.com/

I am heading up to my folks later on today and then flying from Heathrow to Copenhagen first thing tomorrow morning for a couple of days. We have got a lot of bass related stuff to deal with, and via a load of work we have done together already I am going to get to spend meaningful time with the next generation of certain samples. The bloke I am spending the time with is a frigging wizard with how quickly he latches onto what I am asking for and talking about, and whilst there is no chance of bass in that part of Denmark at this time of year and of course we are meant to be talking and planning bass fishing all the time, I do know that this lad has been catching a lot of good sea trout off the shore recently. Might we be able to sneak out for an hour or two?

Anyway, wow is it stunning out there this morning. We went out for our 6am dog walk this morning and it was a lovely change to have to wrap up a bit and also be able to see the stars in the sky and a sliver or moon instead of cloudy skies and/or rain. I am sitting in my office and the sun is rising from behind the trees and the world looks suitably beautiful again. I can’t pretend that with bass fishing obsessing me like it does these days that this time of year is my favourite, but you can’t grumble at a beautiful morning like this. Have a good few days and if all goes to plan I’ll catch up with you on Friday morning………...
