A wrasse or two a day helps your worries go away - new fishing video
Whilst fishing has never been about escape for me, don’t you find that sometimes you just need to go? Last week I had just about had enough of computers blowing up and boilers breaking down, so I took myself off to the coast for a bit of wrasse fishing. The end of March isn’t ever going to be prime time for this, but it was a warm day, there was nobody else around, and I thought I’d try and make a short fishing film for my YouTube channel and see how it went. The results are below, and please bear in mind that I am very new to trying to film myself fishing and then cutting it together:
I love lure fishing for bass above all other kinds of fishing, but I do also love a bit of rock fishing for our rather glorious wrasse. It’s always a good reason to stray far from any well trodden paths and find a bit of quiet coastline, as although the actual methods may not be as varied as they can be for bass, it’s fishing at the end of the day, and if you’re into lure fishing then what’s not to like about targeting wrasse? We met some friends on Bank Holiday Monday for the most beautiful ten mile walk that combined estuary and open coast, so there was me excitedly watching mullet moving in the shallows and then scouting around for potential fishing spots out on the rocks. If there weren’t a whole heap of bass and wrasse fishing around where we walked I’d be gobsmacked. I hope you all had a good Easter weekend…………..
