20% off some specific items of lure fishing tackle that I use all the time, valid until 3pm today

I have no idea where this whole Black Friday thing came from, but at a guess I would say the US, and from a consumer point of view, I thought it was meant to be one day only? Look at me now though, blogging about Black Friday related fishing tackle stuff, so please stop reading right now and come back next week if this bothers you. I got an email from Veals Mail order, and because it concerns some specific items of fishing tackle that I fish with myself a hell of a lot, I thought it might be helpful to alert you to this stuff if you’re on the lookout……………..

20% off the Savage Gear Waterproof Rollup Rucksack 40L - I am more than a year and a half into fishing with this waterproof rucksack and it still hasn’t failed in the bottom of the bag where I would expect any waterproof rucksack to do so after a while. Check out my report after a year+ of use with it here. I genuinely think that at the original price this thing’s a bargain, and especially with how much more time I have got from it than I thought I would, but now with £20% off? It’s a steal.

20% off all the Savage Gear Sandeel V2 and Savage Minnow J-hook and Weedless lures (applied at checkout) - if you hadn’t yet realised via reading this blog of mine, I rather like these (new in 2021) Savage Gear lures! It’s still such a thrill for me to be able to clip a lure on which I had such a big hand in thinking about and bringing to market, and it kinda helps that the biggest bass I have actually seen so far this year came on the Sandeel V2 Weedless.

20% off the Savage Gear 3D Needle Jig 40gm - I was nothing to do with this lure but I do wonder if the “jig” name has put a number of anglers off who aren’t interested in jigs. I was in the same boat until an angler on the north coast of Cornwall kindly began messaging me about some rather good bass catches he was getting on this lure by fishing it like a regular metal - whack it out, wind it in - off the beach in the surf. A very different profile to something like the Surf Seeker, and on its day I really like this.

20% off the Penn Slammer III 3500 - yep, there’s the new Slammer IV range starting to hit the UK, and whilst I really like the 3500 and new 2500 size especially, I am a tad surprised at the price rises these new versions have got. I understand plenty about the fishing tackle trade and how things have changed so much for so many different reasons, but the simple fact is that the “old” Penn Slammer III 3500 is still one hell of a spinning reel if you need what this thing can do for you. I really like the new Slammer IV reels, but when I actually go out fishing for bass do I notice a big difference between old and new? Nope.
