Very excited to be at the Irish Spring Angling fair this weekend, hope to see some of you there

I haven’t flown to Ireland for a long time now, but because the timings of the various ferries are a bit all over the place I am flying from Bristol to Dublin on Friday for the rather excellent Irish Spring Angling Fair 2024 at Ardaire Springs Angling Centre just outside of Waterford on the south coast of Ireland. Yep, in their mighty wisdom they have gone and asked me back! For me it’s a quick in and out visit to my favourite country on earth - no chance to actually go fishing! - but anytime I get to spend a few days in Ireland is something to savour…………..

This is the third year for the Irish Spring Angling Fair and it goes from strength to strength. It’s hard to describe just how perfect the setting is for a fishing show, smack dab in the middle of rolling countryside and bang next to a lovely trout fishery. You can test rods actually on the water, see loads of fishing tackle in the actual show tent, hell, you can even come along and see people like me and Cormac Walsh of the excellent Lure Fishing Podcast giving demonstrations and talks! What more could you want? Looking forward to seeing some of you there. Tickets are available on the day, or you can buy them in advance here. There is loads of free parking.
