The outstanding “Lure Heaven” tackle shop was broken into on Saturday morning, please keep an eye out for the stolen items

I have known John and Melissa from the Lure Heaven fishing tackle shop in Launceston, Cornwall for a fair while now, and I am sad to report that some scumbag or scumbags saw fit to break into their shop sometime overnight last Friday I believe. Every single Graphiteleader, Palms and HTO rod in the shop was stolen, together with a bunch of spinning reels from Shimano, Penn and ABU. My understanding is that the front door was smashed in and the alarm was disabled.

Lure Heaven are the people responsible for bringing brands such as Graphiteleader, Palms, Zetz and DUO into the UK, and it’s so bloody sad that this has happened. I spoke to John the other day and he sounded remarkably upbeat considering their shop had just been broken into, but I know how the two of them pour their heart and soul into their fishing tackle business and I hope they can get straight back on their feet.

Fishing is a small world and for the most part we’re talking about a lot of specialist lure fishing gear that was stolen, so I would ask you all to please keep your eyes and ears to the ground and report anything remotely suspicious to John or Melissa at Lure Heaven on 01566 770822 or via email here. The rods do not have any rod bags or warranty cards with them. I have no idea if the scumbags knew exactly what they were going for or if it was a smash and grab what you can kind of thing, but there are now a number of Graphiteleader and Palms rods somewhere out there that are surely going to find their way into circulation. As for the scumbag or scumbags who did this? I know what I would like to see happen to them, but perhaps it’s best if I do not commit those thoughts to paper as such.
