Thank you so much for so many kind comments and messages, it’s rubbish without a dog in the house

Apologies for not putting a fishing related blog post up this morning, but I simply couldn’t not say thank you so much to so many of you for so many kind comments and messages on here, on my Facebook page, via email, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp etc. I wish I could reply to every single comment and message, but I can’t. I have read them all though, and what shines through is how many of you love your dogs but sadly how many of you also know how much of a loss it is when they aren’t around anymore………….

Storm at eight weeks old

How on earth do these domesticated four-legged animals come to mean so much to us? It’s something that only dog and other pet owners will relate to, but let me tell you that it’s rubbish when they were such a big part of your life - and suddenly they aren’t. It’s still only my youngest daughter and me here at home and we feel lost. I’ve been going on my regular walks, I’ve been running, I’ve been fishing, and I have been doing it without my best friend by my side. I went to hang the washing up outside for example, and the first thing I would normally do is call Storm because she loved to stalk me while I was pegging the clothes out on the line. Daft I know, but your dog is a huge part of your life and you feel lost when they aren’t around anymore. Thank you so much again.
