Some fishing podcasts that I defy you not to enjoy and get you thinking
It ain’t over yet if I can get the conditions and water clarity, but actual fishing aside I have really got into podcasts over the last few years. As much as I obviously love my fishing though, I haven’t actually come across many fishing related podcasts that I really like. I listen to podcasts about rugby and cricket and crime and so on, and from time to time I try the odd fishing podcast and the odd one sticks and I keep listening. The two podcasts I am alerting you about here today are in fact based mainly around striped bass fishing over in the US, but I defy you to listen to them and firstly not enjoy the passion and knowledge and enthusiasm for this kind of fishing, and secondly that there is so much to think about with their approach to striped bass that crosses over to our own bass fishing. I also happen to think that if you took some of our own thinking around our (much smaller) bass fishing over to the US then that would also translate in certain areas and situations.
I think you can find these particular podcasts and episodes on most of the usual podcast apps (I use Overcast on my iPhone, it’s brilliant), but it’s easier for me to link to them on Spotify for this blog post. You all have a good weekend, and if you listen to these podcasts and don’t have a very serious urge to go lose yourself in striped bass fishing and also what we might take it from it for our bass fishing then I’d go get yourself checked out - current global situation taken into account of course………………….
