RIP Ozzy Osbourne

I got back from the gym yesterday evening to the news that one of my musical heroes had died. RIP Ozzy Osbourne. If you know much about him and his life, you have to say that it’s pretty amazing he got to the age of 76, and in my mind he qualifies way up there as a true musical legend……………

Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Slayer, Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth, Death, Entombed, Obituary, Deicide etc. - and Ozzy Osbourne. These bands plus numerous others in the heavier genres were and still are the soundtrack to my life. The first three Ozzy Osbourne albums remain bonafide classics in my mind (go and listen to the track Crazy Train for example - All Aboard!), and of course anybody with any interest in the darker/heavier side of music is going to worship the numerous Black Sabbath releases which basically laid the platform for heavy metal and the many different genres which would follow. Ozzy Osbourne is gone but will never be forgotten. Paranoid and other such awesome tracks will be on repeat for the day.
