Prepare to be very excited - I have made a video about how I carry and access my lures when I go bass fishing

This is my ongoing quest to learn more about how to make and edit YouTube videos where I am obviously filming myself and not being filmed by a crew like back in the day when I used to present some very obscure fishing programmes on some Discovery Channel. I have no idea if this short fishing video stuff I am playing around with will ever go anywhere, but I am finding it really interesting to think back to those fishing shows I used to present - I can’t watch them because I don’t have any copies of them, and even if I did I wouldn’t watch them anyway - and remember as much as I can about how the director and the cameraman would work together to shoot different angles and cutaways and B-roll footage and so on, and then how long the editing process would go on for after the actual location based shoots…………….

I have talked on here a fair few times about how I use the HPA Chest Pack as THE way I like to carry and also actually access my lures when I go out bass fishing, so I thought why not shoot a video that describes how I do things probably a lot better and easier to understand than the written word. I planned the video out and then I went out over the weekend to a nice quiet spot and I shot what you can see above. I then spent a fair amount of time cutting it all together in Final Cut Pro into a short fishing film that I know isn’t wildly exciting but I hope it flows smoothly and works well. At the end of the day there are obviously a load of different ways to carry your lures with you when you go out fishing, but as I lay out in the video above, I am bound by a rucksack because of the camera gear I am always carrying - I can’t afford a lucky assistant to hump my camera gear around for me! If any of you get anything helpful out of my latest video then that’s enough for me, but once again it’s also a good excuse for me to think about and then shoot the footage I need to cut something like this together.
