It’s an emotional day when a band you have loved since you were 16 - Coroner - releases their first album in 32 years. I feel old!

No fishing stuff today, not when I woke up at 4.30am because I was so excited to get downstairs and check if Apple Music had listed the brand new album “Dissonance Theory” by one of THE best thrash metal bands to have ever played this kind of music - the mighty, peerless Swiss band Coroner. I can still remember when I was 16 years old and I stumbled across their 1989 release “No More Color”, then I fell head over heels for the band when they released the awesome “Mental Vortex” in 1991. “Grin” was their last release in 1993 when I was at the grand old age of 20, and I have missed Coroner ever since……………

Yep, I feel my older age this morning with it being a grand total of thirty two years since Coroner released any new music. Where on earth did all those years go? I have had their incredible new album “Dissonance Theory” on repeat through my headphones since I got downstairs a good few hours ago now, damn it feels good to have these guys back. Whatever your musical persuasion, if you truly love music then you will know the emotions I am feeling right now. One of my favourite ever bands are back, and they are back with an absolute banger of a new album.

Oh, and what has to be just about THE best band who are currently playing music on this earth have just released a ridiculously catchy and perfectly glorious new song, check the video below. I am trying to work out some dates so I can catch the mighty Portuguese band Gaerea live in London next month. This is what the long hair is for!! You all have a good weekend, from an aging lover of awesome metal………………
