Heading over to Ireland today for a couple of weeks of guiding

In some respects I’ve sort of lost a week with the time we spent in the hospice as my dad was dying, so my last trip over to Kerry just the other day feels even more recent. We were doing a load of Savage Gear filming over there last time around, but this time I get to do what I really, really love to do in Kerry - my co-guiding work with John Quinlan. The filming was a blast and I am really pleased with what the video lads are starting to put together in the editing suite, but to be honest it felt a bit strange actually fishing and not guiding in Kerry. Very welcome I might add, but you know how much I like trying to help anglers catch fish and learn about fishing. This guiding work gets really hectic, but as always I will try my best to keep the blog updated when I am over there. You all have a good weekend, and if you are into England Test cricket then like me I am sure, you are still pinching yourself at how bloody amazing it all is right now! The less said about the northern hemisphere rugby teams down south at the moment the better though………….
