Heading home today for an epic weekend of rugby

I did my last day of co-guiding work with our second group yesterday, and once again we had a great bunch of lads who fished their socks off through some pretty tough conditions - so many places we wanted to take them to on the quest for bass especially, but at times it’s been some challenging fishing with the water clarity especially. We’ve had a blast as always, the lads have all caught a bunch of fish, and as much as I am looking forward to getting home, it is always hard to leave Kerry………

But holy cow is it some weekend of rugby to get back to! If all goes to plan then I should be crawling into bed at about 3am tomorrow morning after a long journey home. I’ll be up at 7am to see my wife and girls before they head off for Park Run, and then I will be settling down with multiple cups of coffee to watch the 8.15am England v Australia game, plus the rest of the weekend’s semi-finals of course. How will the Rugby World Cup look after this weekend? I am obviously confident that England are going to turn Australia over (please!), Ireland are one of the few teams who know how to beat the All Blacks but did Ireland peak a couple of years ago, can the quite wonderful Japan team beat the Boks again, and are France due their typical one amazing World Cup game against Wales? Or will the weekend all go to form? The one morning out here in Kerry when I don’t need to set an alarm to head out with our clients and I wake up at 4.45am with a bouncing rugby brain. You all have a good weekend and I hope the rugby goes whichever way you want it to - except if you’re Australian of course!
