A load of Black Friday fishing tackle bargains, help!

I have never done this before and I can’t help but kinda dislike the commercialism behind the whole Black Friday thing, but I can’t ignore the fact that there are some seriously good fishing tackle bargains out there today. The evil temptresses at Veals Mail Order are doing 15% off everything on their website today, and if you go looking around there’s a hell of a lot of lure fishing related gear. I don’t want this blog post to end up taking me all night so I am going to highlight certain items below that I either use or have used myself, and for my reviews please head to the Fishing Tackle section of my website over here - go into the different categories and it’s all there. So here goes from Veals Mail Order where you will need to enter the code BF15 at the checkout. And yes, I have already tried a bigger number for a bigger discount and it doesn’t work!

I always place a disclaimer in bold text at the bottom of any blog post I put up which has links to the few shops or websites who I do my affiliate links with and I have obviously chosen to highlight the bargains I can find with the shops/websites I link to. At the time of me writing this blog post I believe the items are all in stock. Please, please do not buy via these links if it annoys you or you think Henry is on his way to becoming a millionaire, but as ever it’s a big thanks from me if you do choose to buy your fishing tackle via my links. Believe it or not, those of you who do follow my affiliate links are helping me to carry on doing this blog and I remain eternally grateful.

  • Penn Spinfisher VI 2500 - usually £119.99 but £102 today, same size as a Shimano 3000, lovely reel but don’t overload it

  • Penn Spinfisher VI 3500 - usually £119.99 but £102 today, this has become my go-to from the Spinfisher VI range, it’s hit the sweet spot and it’s awesome. If you find this reel out of stock then blame me because I might or might not have got in there early myself!

  • Penn Spinfisher VI 4500 - usually £129.98 but £110.50 today, same body as the 3500, bigger spool

  • Shimano Stradic C3000-FL or Shimano Stradic C3000HG-FL or Shimano Stradic 2500HG-FL - from £159.98 to £164.99 but £136 to £140.25 today, I’ve been fishing with the new 2500 Stradic for a while now and I love it. These three reels are the same size, with the 2500 having the lowest line capacity and the HG version of the 3000 having a higher retrieve ration. Confused.com?! Are these new Stradics going to turn out to be as good as those older Rareniums? Too early to tell, but so far so good.
